EDMOND, Okla. – More than 1,000 female students at an Oklahoma high school received candy and a card on Valentine’s Day courtesy of a single student who wanted to do something kind while remaining anonymous.

FOX 13 News sister station KFOR in Oklahoma reports that all 1,076 female students at Edmond Memorial High School received a surprise valentine card that included candy.

“He wanted to stay anonymous, but I have a feeling a good deed like this is going to get out,” student  Sarah Cameron told KFOR.

It was eventually discovered that Dan Williams, a student at the school, decided to do a good deed. KFOR reports the Eagle Scout takes his promise to be courteous and kind seriously, and he worked all summer to raise enough money for the Valentine’s Day surprise. He said it's a good feeling to know someone cares about you, and he wanted to share that feeling.

KFOR reports Williams doesn’t have a special valentine of his own, at least not yet. Click here for local coverage of this story from KFOR in Oklahoma.
