More than 250,000 people in Utah are deaf or hard of hearing.

Back in 1988, Utah initiated the Relay Utah Service.

The service provides access to hearing assistive equipment and telephone relay services, allowing those who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech disabled more efficient communication.

Currently, Relay Utah fields between 8,000-10,000 calls a month.

Jodi Goodenough from Relay Utah was in studio to talk about and show how the service can help those who suffer from hearing loss.
