SALT LAKE CITY — Gordon Hayward and the Utah Jazz sent the Golden State Warriors packing after leading for the entire game at Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City Friday night. Hayward scored 28 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, and garnered 6 assists by the end of the game to upset the best in the NBA, 110-100.

This is the second loss in a row for the Warriors, and the first win this season against Golden State for the Jazz.

The Jazz bench did not disappoint, with Trevor Booker lending 17 points and 15 from Trey Burke. Stephen Curry, arguably one of the best players in the NBA right now, scored 32 points on the night, but it was not enough to take the lead even once during the game.

Hayward rendered All-Star Klay Thompson almost useless, only scoring 12 points after scoring at least 22 the last five games.

The Jazz head on the road to take on another tough contender, the Oregon Trailblazers. The game is scheduled for February 3 at 8 p.m.
