Orem police say missing woman has been found, is safe

OREM, Utah – Police in Orem requested the public’s help in finding an elderly woman Thursday night, and about two hours after they requested assistance the woman was located.

Police stated Thursday around 7:13 p.m. that they were looking for 86-year-old Mary Alexander, who was last seen at the Canyon Cove assisted living center located at 1045 East 800 North. She was last seen at about 4:30 p.m. Police said she suffers from short-term memory loss, and they were concerned she wouldn’t be able to find her way back home.

Orem Police Department officials stated around 9:15 p.m. that the woman was located in the area of 800 North 800 East and is safe. They said she was sitting in a parked car outside of a home.

    We got the auto call last night from the police department about her and immediately went outside and looked up and down our block. I am so glad she was found safe!
