Police release photos of suspect in bank robbery, ask public for help

SALT LAKE CITY – Police are asking the public for help as they search for a suspect who robbed a bank in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning.

According to information from the Salt Lake City Police Department, the suspect entered the Zions Bank located at 102 South Main Street at about 11:47 a.m.

The suspect demanded money from a teller while intimating he had a gun. The teller complied, and the suspect fled northeast on foot.

The man, who is pictured below, is described as being an adult white male with gray hair and a mustache. He stands about 5-feet 10-inches tall and has a heavy build. He is believed to be 50. The man was last seen wearing a dark hoodie underneath a plaid jacket. He was also wearing blue pants and eyeglasses.

The police department, “asks anyone who may know the identity or location of this suspect to call (801) 799-3000. Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637.
