CACHE COUNTY, Utah — An Elderly Cache County woman has died after being run over by a car in her driveway Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:21 p.m., North Park police responded to a woman who had been run over at a residence in Hyde Park. Police say the woman was preparing to go on a trip with her 80-year-old husband when the accident occurred.
While the woman’s husband was in the running vehicle, police say, he somehow became disoriented.
As a result, the 80-year-old man drove into another car in the driveway of the residence and crashed into the home, police say. In the process, his wife was hit and she became trapped underneath their vehicle.
The 79-year-old woman was extricated from underneath the car and transported to Logan Regional Hospital. She has since died from her injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
