The ninth ranked Utah basketball team had another blowout win in the Pac-12 Conference, beating Colorado 74-49.   Brandon Taylor led the Utes with 14 points and Delon Wright added 13, six assists and four steals.
The Utes used a 15-0 run at the end of the first half to take a 10-point lead into halftime, and they blew open the game in the second half with a strong defensive performance.
The Utes are now 13-2 this season, and a perfect 3-0 in Pac-12 play.
“I sure love it,” said head coach Larry Krystkowiak.  “You don’t want to jinx yourself, but again, it’s a combination. Our coaching staff, not me, but our assistants with their scouting.  We added a few new wrinkles to our defense that are kind of new and I think it’s kind of refreshing for guys to try to figure it out.  It’s been great.  We had a lot of contested shots.  There are a couple I can think of tonight where we let guys shoot it open and actually it make you mad, but that didn’t happen very often.  It happened two or three times tonight where a guy took a wide-open shot. I think it speaks volumes for our approach.”
