SALT LAKE CITY — A construction worker suffered minor injuries after he was hit by a driver on Interstate 215 near Parleys Canyon, officials say Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 4 p.m., a woman was traveling north on I-215 when she drifted off the road, hit constructions barrels and went onto the shoulder where guardrail repairs were taking place, according to Utah Highway Patrol officials.
The victim was working for a private company on the guardrail repair when he was hit. He was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
