WENDOVER – A woman has been arrested for suspicion of DUI after she crashed a minivan into a Utah Highway Patrol vehicle parked outside of a trooper’s home.

According to information from UHP, the crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Rhonda Breshears, 37, of West Wendover, Nevada, was traveling westbound on a residential road when the minivan she was driving crossed into the eastbound side of the road and then crashed into the patrol vehicle.

Breshears and a passenger were taken to a Salt Lake area hospital with injuries officials said were not life-threatening.

The vehicle was unoccupied, as the trooper it belongs to was off-duty and had parked it in front of his home.
