PROVO, Utah -- BYU scored 51 points in the first half against winless Savannah State Saturday, and they beat the Tigers 64-0.

It was a dominating performance by the Cougars. Christian Stewart threw four touchdown passes, and he ran for two more scores, all in the first half. BYU’s defense held the Tigers to just 63 yards of total offense.

"Knowing that regardless of the opponent, that doesn’t guarantee that you’re just going to play like that,” said BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall. “So, it was just a great sign for me as a head coach and for our team.”

BYU is now 7-3.
