LAYTON, Utah — A man who police said is armed and dangerous is on the run Friday, and Layton police are asking anyone who sees the man to contact them.

Police said 32-year old Justin Andrew Adams went up to a home in the area of 2200 North Snoqualmie with an empty gas can and asked the homeowners to let him inside and use their phone.

The victims refused, but told police they let him use their cellphone instead. Adams then pulled a handgun on the victims and asked if they wanted to get shot. Police responded and pursued the suspect, who evaded them.

The man is described as being a white male who stands 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen in a 1998 silver Chevy truck with black trim. The truck had Utah license plate # X379AX

Anyone who sees the suspect or who has knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 801-497-8300.
