OGDEN, Utah — Ogden police responded to a call early Monday morning that a woman had stabbed her live-in boyfriend and forcefully prevented him from leaving the apartment.

It happened at 2543 Madison Avenue around 4:00 a.m. Officers arrested Isamar Miranda, 24, for domestic violence aggravated assault, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.

Police said the victim escaped to the upstairs neighbor’s apartment after being stabbed, then Miranda followed him and even threatened to stab the neighbor before taking the victim back to their apartment.

Officers tried to negotiate with Miranda, but said they were forced to kick down the door when she wouldn’t cooperate.

They immediately arrested her and booked her into the Weber County Jail.

The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening stan wounds to his hands and neck.
