SALT LAKE CITY -- Gordon Hayward made headlines this week when he stated in his blog that, "One on one versus LeBron James? He would get crushed. We would all be witnesses to a straight up annihilation,"--but the Jazz player's boast wasn't related to basketball.
Hayward was instead referring to video games, specifically League of Legends. He stated: "No athlete on earth is as good at League of Legends as I am."
In an interview, Hayward said he thought the joke was a good way to have fun and give fans a bit of insight into his private life. He said the response was so great that the traffic crashed the website where he hosts his blog.
