WVC police train on how to deal with dogs they encounter in community

West Valley City police officers received training, Tuesday, on how to deal with dogs they encounter while out in the community.

Justin Hatch, with Utah Animal Control Association and Amy Francis, who developed the training for the officers, were in studio to talk about what the program entails and why it’s important.

Tex, the boxer running for K9 Salt Lake County Mayor, also made an appearance.
