VERNAL, Utah — A woman accused of trying to light her ex-boyfriend’s Naples house on fire using a pound of bacon appeared in a Vernal courtroom Tuesday for a pretrial hearing.

Cameo Crispi faces several charges, including arson, burglary, assault by a prisoner, interference with an arresting officer, intoxication and electronic communication harassment.

According to police, Crispi had purposely left the bacon burning on a stove in an attempt to burn down the house.

Crispi’s ex-boyfriend contacted police to report she was harassing him and that he did not want her in his house.

An officer responded to the house and found smoke visible from the door.  The fire was extinguished and Crispi was arrested.

Charging documents indicate Crispi had a blood/alcohol level of .346 at the time of her arrest.

The arson, burglary and assault by a prisoner charges are all felonies.
