SALT LAKE CITY -- An examination of campaign finance disclosures in the race for Utah Attorney General shows a different pattern than that seen in the John Swallow campaign.

No payday lenders, no debt collectors, and just one multi-level marketer in the picture.

The pattern this time, is an incumbent, Sean Reyes, with a lot of money from a few donors. And a challenger, Charles Stormont, with far more donors and far less money.

Here are a few facts from FOX 13 News' analysis:

Sean Reyes received:

Nine donations between January and the GOP State Convention in April
Seven donations between the Convention and the June Primary (Reyes did not have a primary opponent)
70 donations between the Primary date and August 31

Those donations add up to $284,675.21

40 donors gave Reyes $1,000.00 or more.

12 donors gave Reyes $5,000.00 or more.

Charles Stormont received:

101 donations before the Democratic State Convention in April
74 donations between the Convention and the June Primary (Stormont did not have a primary opponent)
291 donations between the Primary date and August 31st

Those donations add up to $81,086.92

20 donors gave Stormont $1,000.00 or more.

1 donor gave Stormont $5,000.00 or more.

Both candidates addressed the issue of campaign contributions during Wednesday's debate, see below for their responses.
