Officials warning fishermen of high mercury levels in more Utah fish

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources  is warning fishermen about two more fish species with high levels of mercury here in Utah.

Officials issued the advisory after finding elevated levels of mercury in tissues of fish in certain waterways.

New Fish Added to Advisory: 

  • Flaming Gorge Reservoir (Daggett County) – Smallmouth bass
  • Joes Valley Reservoir (Emery County) – Tiger muskie
  • Upper Enterprise Reservoir (Washington County) – Smallmouth bass
