DWR searching for suspects poaching fawns in Kane County (Warning: Graphic)

KANE COUNTY, Utah – Officers with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources are searching for those responsible for shooting two fawns and leaving them to waste in Kane County.

DWR said it received calls about the fawns at the beginning of September.

The investigation revealed the deer were shot, most likely with archery equipment.

Wildlife officials said a green ATV was seen in the area at the time and the owner might have information about the incident.

The fawns were found near Highway 14 about two miles east of the Highway 89 and Highway 14 junction, according to DWR.
