KAYSVILLE, Utah -- Like a lot of high school kids, Matt Beecher is crazy about football.

"I'm a big fan of BYU, so I always went to the BYU football games growing up," he said. "I love college football. I'm a student of the game. I love watching it and learning everything about the game."

He also plays the game, very well, with an impressive record of tackles and interceptions, in spite of the fact that he's missing the lower half of his left arm.

Matt was born that way, and it's never held him back. He played soccer as a child, then went on to play on his junior high school basketball team, before landing a spot on Davis High's football team.

"When I'm on the field, I don't look at myself any differently. I mean, any time in my life I don't look at myself any differently," he said.

He plans to attend BYU in the future.
