LOGAN, Utah – Police have arrested a man who they said was allegedly manufacturing child pornography, and the man has been booked into the Cache County Jail.

Police served a warrant on the residence of 38-year-old William Larson of Logan, and police arrested the man after child pornography was located on multiple electronic media storage devices.

Logan City Police Department officials told FOX 13 News they executed the search warrant based on information received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Police officials said they found images of local victims during the search.

Capt. Tysen Budge, Logan City Police Department, said they found photos of child pornography during the search, including some that they believe were taken by Larson himself. Police officials said there are images of at least two different children, and they said in the photos the children are unclothed and appeared to know the photo was being taken.

Budge said they believe the children in the photos are local, and he said they believe there may be more victims.

Chief Gary Jensen, Logan City Police Department, said officials found hundreds of images during their search.

"Numerous images, well into the hundreds and beyond of child pornography, both in video format and in still picture format," he said.

Jensen said the man's alleged actions rise above merely possessing images.

"It's one thing obviously to go out on the Internet and to find images and to download them, which obviously has its own problems, but when you start to take your own pictures of these children, that brings it to another even more disturbing level," he said.

Police stated their investigation revealed Larson was manufacturing child pornography. Larson was questioned as officers searched his home, and Budge said Larson started resisting and began banging his head against a wall and spat at officers while he was being questioned. Larson has been booked into jail on charges for possessing and manufacturing child pornography. The man's bail was set at a little more than $100,000.

Logan City Police Department officials are asking anyone who may have knowledge regarding other victims or who knows children who may have spent time alone with Larson to contact them at 435-716-9459.
