WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – Authorities are searching for a wanted felon after a high-speed chase early Thursday morning.
Police said just after midnight they spotted a wanted man who has warrants out for his arrest.
Officers said the suspect, Jason Stout, was driving near 22nd W. and 35th S. in West Valley City when police tried to stop him.
He sped off, driving into Taylorsville, through Murray and officers finally stopped the chase near 6th E. and 54th S. 
Authorities said his girlfriend, Kristy Vanrij, was also in the car during the chase.
She was found hiding in the yard of a nearby home however, Stout managed to get away.
