EDMONTON, Alberta – A mother of five was mocked over her stretch marks and took to social media after the confrontation.

Tanis Jex-Blake, 33,  said she was sunbathing while her children played at Alberta Beach.

“All of a sudden I heard, ‘Oh my God, look at that, that’s f****ng nasty, that’s disgusting, look how gross that is,’” she told GlobalNews.

She said she saw a woman and two men pointing at her and pretending to kick her.

Jex-Blake said she tried to ignore the remarks but cried on her way home.

Now she has taken to Facebook to defend herself and mothers everywhere.

“I’m NOT sorry that my body has housed, grown, protected, birthed and nurtured FIVE fabulous, healthy, intelligent and wonderful human beings,” she said in her post. “I’m sorry if my 33 year old, 125 lb body offended you so much that you felt that pointing, laughing, and pretending to kick me.”

this woman is only doing this for a free mommy makeover because she KNOWS it WILL happen.. someone will OFFER her it for FREE…. I have 5 kids and I am 53… I do not have a mark on me! not all women that have had children have marks like this ( be it one or 10) gives us moms bad names .. shame me if you want.. but this is the way I feel.. I am older and have gained some weight and look better then this.. but I would NEVER wear a bikini in public now myself .. especially if I looked like that! Shame on the people that teased her ( if it really did happen) that WAS wrong… but its like yoga pants.. some women should just NOT wear them.. my 2 cents!! she got the attention she seeked.. if she was proud this would not have gone viral..

I completely disagree with you. I am 34 and I have 2 children that I am proud of, and proud to be their mother! I have stretch marks, and nothing I tried prevented them. If you are lucky enough to not have stretch marks, or other changes from pregnancy, good for you. Instead of putting people down or calling them a liar or shaming them because they do have body changes doesn’t help anyone. Frankly it makes you a very ugly person! I will happily take my stretch marks! And, be thankful that I have the sympathy and love of others and their unique differences to share with my children. That I can guide them and be an example for them as a kind loving member of society. And, of course to have sympathy for people such as yourself Sarah, that with your ugly personality doesn’t rub off on your family or those around you.

This is horrible, to get bullied on a public beach as an adult, that’s traumatizing, because not only are they publicly embarrassing you, they’re doing it in front of your children as well.

This is disgusting. There are things to remove stretch marks like striafade, but not everyone wants to. Nor should they have to just to please other annoying people.
