SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah men’s basketball coach Larry Krystkowiak will coach a PAC-12 all-star team next month in China, and three of his players will be on the team. Jordan Loveridge, Brandon Taylor and Jeremy Olsen will join 10 other players on a 10-day tour of China.

“When I found out I was going, I was just excited,” said Taylor. “It’s an honor and a privilege to get picked and be able to go out to China and compete, and be one of the players to represent our league.”

“It’s a great opportunity whenever you can use the sport to see parts of the world,” said Krystkowiak. “I never dreamed that you’d be using a passport and a visa and traveling around because of the great game.”

This trip gives these three players some extra time to play together with their coaching staff. They’ll meet in San Francisco on August 7 for two days of practice, then they’ll play four games in Shanghai.

“It’s perfect,” said Krystkowiak. “I never would have dreamed that we would have a chance to do it.

“I’m sure it’s going to be different that playing American teams,” said Loveridge. “Just being able to gain experiences being over there and seeing what their culture is like and just having a good time.”
