DRAPER, Utah — Traffic was slowed Saturday as crews worked to repair a stretch of I-15 that buckled due to heat, but by about 9 p.m. it appeared that lanes had been reopened in the area.

Utah Highway Patrol officials confirmed to FOX 13 News that the freeway had buckled near 14600 South and southbound I-15, and Utah Department of Transportation cameras at the scene showed that two lanes had been blocked off as crews worked.

The lanes were closed for several hours, but as of about 9 p.m. it appeared that crews had cleared the scene and the lanes had been reopened.

FOX 13 News will have more information as it becomes available.
