SALT LAKE CITY — Polling places across the state didn’t see many people casting their votes in Utah’s primary elections Tuesday.

Many of the state’s intra-party battles were settled at party nominating conventions in May, including the races for four congressional seats.

“People just haven’t been as excited cause they aren’t as high profile and we’ve had very slow reports of action at polling locations today,” said Sherrie Swensen, Salt Lake County Clerk.

The general election is scheduled for Nov. 4.
