STOCKTON, Cali. – The wife of theex-con whose “sexy” mugshot became an internet sensation is angry about the recent media madness.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t see her at all in the cameras because she’s upset,” Simone Johnson told KMAX-TV, a friend of Meeks’ wife. “She’s furious. Her man is in there and people are taking it as a joke, thinking it’s funny talking about his looks, saying all kinds of crazy things.”
The Stockton Police Department posted a mugshot of a man on its Facebook page last week and the man’s photo went viral, attracting nearly 30,000 likes in about a day.
Stockton Police Department officials stated Jeremy Meeks was arrested as part of an Operation Ceasefire enforcement mission.
According to the Stockton Police Department, the man was arrested on a felony weapons charge.
Three other individuals were arrested during the operation for felony weapons charges: 22-year-old Terry Bailey, 18-year-old Juzri Coleman and 44-year-old Joelin Coleman.
