TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — Two Taylorsville men died Monday morning in a rollover crash along I-80 in Tooele County.

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 3:30 along eastbound I-80 near mile post 110.

Sgt. Chamberlin Neff, Utah Highway Patrol, said it appears both men had fallen asleep after a trip to Wendover.

“This is big concern for us. The fatigued driving is a huge concern for us, making sure that people are properly rested to continue on their safe travels,” Neff said. “We see it quite a bit.”

Spencer Gardner, 28, was driving the vehicle and was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The passenger, 30-year-old Andrew Jarrie, was not wearing a seat belt.

Officials cleared the crash scene shortly after 8 a.m.
