SALT LAKE CITY -- A 32-year-old man was stabbed during a hip hop concert at a downtown club Thursday night, and Salt Lake City police said they have little information to help them solve the case.

Police were notified of the stabbing incident, which occurred during a Young Gangster show at Infinity Event Center, around 11:45.

Paramedics responded to the scene to help the victim and he was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

"We have nobody who came forward to tell us where the suspect is. I'm not sure detectives have talked to the victim at this time, but we just have nothing to go on as of now," said Det. Veronica Montoya, SLCPD.

After the victim was taken to the hospital, concert promoters asked officers to help disperse a crowd that had gathered outside.  Most of the people in the crowd complied, but police did make two arrests.

According to a probable cause statement, Brandon Lindsey engaged in tumultuous and violent behavior while encouraging a group to remain on the scene. Lindsey allegedly resisted arrest.  He faces misdemeanor charges of riot, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.

Ashton Vedadi, the other person police arrested, failed to leave the scene and also attempted to get in between an officer and another suspect to prevent an arrest, according to a probable cause statement.

Vedadi faces a misdemeanor charge of obstuction of justice.

Anyone with information that may help police solve the stabbing case is asked to call the Salt Lake City Police Department at (801) 799-3000.
