PROVO, Utah — Officials believe the missing Provo teenager is in Mexico and not in any danger, according to a tweet from the Provo Police Department.

The Amber Alert for 13-year-old Pablo Enrique Rivera has been discontinued, said Lt. Matt Siufanua, spokesman for Provo Police.

After looking at the circumstances of the case, Siufanua said, the child did not appear to

be any imminent danger, which is a criteria for an Amber Alert.

Pablo left his home Friday night with his non-custodial father Juan E. Rivera Casillas.

The Casillas was driving a 4-door white Chevrolet car with Mexico license plate TYB 1590.

“We still have a warrant, we’re still going to pursue charges,” Siufanua said.

Pablo has black hair and brown eyes and

is about 5-feet-5-inches tall and about 100 pounds. Police say he was wearing a light-colored sweater.

Casillas is described as 5-feet-10-inches tall and about 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children says Casillas also kidnapped his daughter 5 years ago and has not returned her.
