Ask any athlete what the hardest sport is and many of them will tell you golf. It might not be as physically demanding as other sports, but there’s no denying it can be very frustrating.
So that’s why the CEO of a big golf company wants to make some changes to the game– starting with increasing the diameter of the hole.
According to Golf.com, Mark King of TaylorMade is the force behind the 15” hole. That’s almost four times regulation size, and that’s just one of Hack Golf’s ideas. He said this would not be “a replacement for golf-as-we-know it, but as an entertaining supplement to the game.”
According to the article, the enlarged holes aren’t meant for elite players. The easier set of rules would be aimed at “juniors, newbies and assorted would-be golfers.”
