WEST JORDAN, Utah -- Two people were arrested Thursday morning after a high-speed police chase in West Jordan.

According to a probable cause statement, a West Jordan police officer saw a Honda Accord run a red light and fail to signal at 7800 S Redwood Rd. around 3 a.m.

The officer attempted to stop the Accord, but the driver allegedly sped away and drove in the opposite lane of travel.

At one point, police said, the Accord approached a South Jordan police vehicle and swerved toward it in an apparent attempt to strike the vehicle.

Police continued to pursue the Accord and the chase ended when a West Jordan officer conducted a PIT maneuver on the vehicle near I-15 and Bangerter Hwy. in Draper.

Police identified the driver as 20-year-old Destiny McBride.

According to the probable cause statement, police searched the Accord and found seven stolen credit cards and government ID cards belonging to three separate victims.

McBride and her passenger, 26-year-old Jarel Thomas, were both arrested.
