SALT LAKE CITY – Police are asking the public for help identifying and finding two suspects in an alleged armed robbery.

Police said two men wearing masks entered a Subway restaurant at 2885 S. Highland Drive around 7 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money, and they said one of the men brandished a weapon.

Det. Veronica Montoya of the Salt Lake City Police Department said the suspects made it out with an undisclosed amount of money.

“One of them had a weapon brandished towards the employee, demanded money,” she said. “The employees, of course, complied for their safety and the suspects fled.”

The two suspects are described as being white men with slim to mediums builds who stand about 6-feet tall. The men left in a gray or silver 4-door sedan believed to have been made in the late 90s. The two suspects were wearing masks. The men are believed to be in their 20s.

Police said they may later release video footage of the incident. FOX 13 News will have more information as it becomes available.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the incident is asked to call Salt Lake City police at (801) 799-3000. Tips can also be given online.  Both methods allow the tipster to remain anonymous.
