FBI offers reward after LDS meetinghouses vandalized

CHUBBUCK, Idaho — The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward after three LDS Church meetinghouses were vandalized in Idaho.

Officers said on the evening of Nov. 6, or morning of Nov. 7, three meetinghouses belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were vandalized in Chubbuck, Idaho.

According to officers, the suspects drew several male genitalia on the exterior walls, sidewalks and doors of the buildings. The suspects also wrote several phrases including, “Brigham Young was a rapist,” “Sheepole,” “Die Mormans,” “Burn in Hell,” and “Burn!” The suspects also drew several inverted crosses on the buildings and church grounds.

The FBI is now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to the arrests and convictions of the suspects.
