Bill to modernize education advances to House

SALT LAKE CITY — Big changes could be coming to how Utah children learn in school.

Members of the House Education Standing Committee passed House Bill 131 Wednesday, sending it to the House floor. The bill would help modernize education by providing laptops or tablets to every student.

How is this money going to be apportioned? Are “F” schools going to get priority based the Legislature’s own definition of need? Or is the state grading system a hypocritical farce, leaving the rest of us to once again use OUR MONEY to pay for rich kids’ toys?
