Jazz lose back and forth battle with Blazers

PORTLAND, Ore.– First the Jazz led, then the Trailblazers were on top. It went back and forth all night in Portland, but the Blazers came out on top 102-94.

In a game that featured multiple lead changes, Portland (37-18) took charge for good late in the fourth quarter on a pair of Damian Lillard free throws. The former Weber State Wildcat led all scores with 28 as the Jazz lost their second straight game after taking a season high three-game winning streak into the All-Star break.

Trey Burke performed well against last season’s rookie of the year. Utah’s rookie point guard had 21 points and seven assists. The Jazz were led by Enes Kanter with 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Derrick Favors missed his second straight game with a hip injury. Utah (19-35) hosts Minnesota on Saturday night at Energy Solutions Arena.
