FARMINGTON — A woman accused of killing her two children remains in competent to face trial.

A hearing scheduled Monday for Sun Cha Warhola was continued until June 2015. Her attorney wrote in court documents that her most recent competency evaluation at the Utah State Hospital found Warhola remained incompetent to face trial.

However, there is “substantial probability that she will be restored to competency in the future given her history at the Utah State Hospital,” her attorney Ed Brass wrote.

Warhola has been at the state mental hospital since the deaths of her children in September 2010. Police said Warhola strangled her 8-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter inside their Layton home.

Brass wrote in court papers that the court is required to commit Warhola for an additional 36 months, with a review to be held in 18 months. She has been housed at the state hospital for 29 months now.
