SALT LAKE CITY – An animal adoption event that also featured food and drinks was held in Salt Lake City Saturday.

The event was hosted by Dolls And Gents at The Kafeneio Coffeehouse, and the event was geared toward adopting out pit bull breeds—although organizers brought a variety of canines.

Randee Leuker, Salt Lake County pit bull coordinator, said they had dogs to meet different needs.

"Some people want runners, some people want couch potatoes, and we have all kinds of dogs like that,” she said. “So it just depends on the dog and the dog you are looking for."

The dogs who were not adopted at the event will be available for adoption at the Salt Lake County Animal Shelter.
