SALT LAKE CITY – Ancient documents and other artifacts dating back 3,000 years will soon be on display at a Salt Lake City museum, and the collection includes the oldest copy of the Hebrew Bible that has ever been discovered.

The Dead Sea Scrolls will be on display at The Leonardo, 209 East 500 south, from November to April.

Alexandra Hesse, executive director at The Leonardo, said it’s a unique exhibit with items that have never been displayed before.

“All of which have not been seen at previous venues and won’t be seen in future venues, so it’s very, very special,” Hesse said.

The exhibit, which opens Friday, includes more than 600 original artifacts. According to The Leonardo’s website: “The Dead Sea Scrolls: Life & Faith in Ancient Times is an incredibly popular exhibition. As a result, you may experience long lines and wait times, particularly on weekends and holidays.”
