WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – A home with children inside it was the scene of a violent clash earlier this week, and now officials have released audio from the 911 calls made regarding the incident.

Police said a group of men allegedly attempted to carry out a home invasion robbery at the residence, and the homeowners were able to subdue one of the men.

Police said the injured suspect, 29-year-old Robert Ebere, died due to his injuries on Friday. Police also said a search of the home where the incident occurred turned up 9 pounds of cocaine and thousands of dollars. Police said they believe the suspects were there to steal money and drugs.

Detectives said they believe two men subdued Ebere and choked him to death.

In the 911 call, a child can be heard saying, “Someone just came into our house and started to shoot people.”

Later, the child says, "Someone came in and is fighting with my dad."

In another call, a woman says she has five kids in the home and she needs help.

“I have five babies, please come on," she said during the call. "Come on please.”

Officials said the homeowner, Javier Mendoza-Trujillo, won’t be charged in connection with Ebere’s death because he was defending his family in his home. He has, however, been arrested and charged by federal authorities in connection with the cocaine found at the residence.

Police are still searching for the other two suspects.

Recordings of the three 911 calls are available below. (WARNING: There are at least two instances of profanity in the calls)
