Governor introduces team dedicated to water conservation efforts

Gov. Gary Herbert introduced the State Water Plan Advisory Team Wednesday, and the announcement is one component of the governor's efforts to develop a 50-year water plan for the state. Herbert said Utah needs to conserve more water as well as develop new water resources.

Alan Matheson is Herbert's environmental adviser and state planner, and he came to the FOX 13 News studio Wednesday to talk about just how much help Utah needs when it comes to water conservation. See the video above for his comments.
