OGDEN, Utah — Fire crews extinguished a fire in a commercial building in Ogden Tuesday morning.

Ogden City Fire Department officials responded to the fire around 2:23 a.m. They said the fire started in an unoccupied commercial building at 1225 Wall Avenue.

Firefighters said when they arrived, they noticed a large amount of smoke coming from the loading dock on the north side of the building. They said large amount of books, recycled cardboard and paper were burning in the building.

Crews confined the flames to the loading dock and a small portion of the building adjacent to the dock, and then quickly extinguished the fire.

The cause of the fire is now being investigated. Damage is estimated around $5,000.

No one was displaced or injured in the fire.
