OGDEN — A 26-year-old woman was run over by the back wheels of a semi-tractor trailer in Ogden, officials said Tuesday.

Officers were dispatched to the corner of 2550 South and 750 West at 1:47 p.m. on a report of an auto versus pedestrian accident.

Several witnesses reported that the woman had been in an argument with another person on the side of the road, according to a press release from Ogden Police.

“The victim left the argument, walked out into the roadway and then fell underneath the wheels of a slow moving semi-truck and trailer as it passed by her,” the release stated.

It is unknown why the woman fell but the woman did have a medical history of seizures, the release stated. Police are looking into that as being the possible cause of her fall.

The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of the family.

The truck driver’s name is not being released pending completion of the investigation.
