SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah – Portions of I-80 near mile post 153 in Silver Creek Canyon are down to one open lane after a semi truck crashed and leaked an estimated 100 gallons of diesel fuel onto the roadway.

The semi was traveling east on I-80 when the driver lost control on the wet roads shortly before 3 p.m., according to information from the Utah Highway Patrol.

As of shortly after 3 p.m. the semi was blocking all lanes of eastbound I-80. One eastbound lane had been reopened as of about 5 p.m.

Eastbound traffic was being diverted to U.S. 40
