Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel is being investigated by the NCAA after he was allegedly paid for signing hundreds of autographs, according to anESPN Outside the Lines report.

ESPN reported that the Texas A&M quarterback agreed to sign memorabilia in exchange for a five-figure flat fee from an autograph broker named Drew Tieman. This all reportedly happened during Manziel’s trip to Miami for the Discover BCS National Championship.

According to ESPN, if the NCAA investigation finds that Manziel has violated the NCAA bylaw that forbids accepting money for promoting or advertising the commercial sale of a product or service, he could be ruled ineligible.
