3 arrested after residents tell police suspect isn’t home, suspect walks into room

SALT LAKE CITY — His father and his girlfriend tried to cover for him, but a suspect walked right into the room where police were looking for him.

Salt Lake City police officers were serving a felony arrest warrant at an address near 800 S Jefferson Street for Kenneth Reyos.

The other people in the home insisted the suspect was not at home until Reyos walked into the room where the police were questioning them. Officers found cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine in the home and within reach of small children.

All three people in the home were booked into jail. Kenneth Reyos was arrested in connection with the warrant officers were there to serve. Kenneth Reyos  Sr. was charged with obstruction of justice. Mackayla Arlt faces child endangerment and drug related charges.
