SALT LAKE CITY — The Transportation Security Administration found two firearms at the Salt Lake City International Airport Tuesday, according to a press release.

TSA officials said the firearms were found at the security checkpoints within the airport. They said the first firearm was a loaded Ruger LC9 pistol, and the second was a loaded Kel-Tec 380 pistol.

TSA officials said the gun owners were both women, and this is the first time two women were stopped in the airport on the same day because of firearms. The women were both cited for having a concealed weapon in a security area.

Airport officials said the guns are the 23rd and 24th firearms TSA has found at the Salt Lake International Airport in 2013.
