SALT LAKE CITY – A portion of sidewalk buckled in Salt Lake City Monday.

The sidewalk is in front of a Denny’s located at North Temple and Redwood Road.

Employees said when they came to work at 4 p.m. everything was fine, but when they looked out of the window later they saw the sidewalk had buckled.

Utah Department of Transportation officials said they have had to fix numerous portions of roads from Sandy to the Point of the Mountain that have buckled due to heat.
