SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police said they hope security camera footage will help them solve a pair of armed robberies that happened Wednesday night.

Police received a call at 10:15 p.m. regarding an armed robbery at a Walgreen’s store at 909 E 2100 S. Sgt. Andy Leonard, Salt Lake City Police Department, said the robbery was carried out quickly and quietly.

“Most of the people that were in the store when the police arrived weren’t even aware the store was robbed,” Leonard said.

A few minutes later, they received a similar call regarding an armed robbery at an Arctic Circle restaurant at 525 E 1700 S.

The suspect in the Walgreen’s robbery was described as a white male. The suspect in the Arctic Circle robbery was also described as a white male, age 20-25, wearing a black long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a dark baseball cap.

It isn’t clear whether or not the two robberies were committed by the same individual.

No one was injured in either robbery.
