SALT LAKE CITY – Attorney General John Swallow said one of his accusers is using forged documents against him.

In a statement issued to FOX 13 News, Swallow said some of the receipts put forward by Marc Jenson and his attorneys are forged.

The receipts in question show Swallow’s name signed to charges at the Pelican Hill Resort in 2009. Convicted felon Marc Jenson said Swallow and his predecessor, Mark Shurtleff, pressured him to pay for the vacation to the resort. He accuses the current and former Attorneys General of taking favors from him.

Swallow said he took the trip when he was a private attorney and not an elected official.

Jenson’s attorney, Marcus Mumford, said the receipts are only part of the issue.

“What I haven't seen disputed is that they were there,” he said. “That they were staying in the villas at Mr. Jenson's expense, that they were ordering food and ordering other things at his expense. And it's really not just his receipts. It's other people there who saw them. "

Jenson appears in a court hearing Monday, where he will ask the judge to disqualify the Attorney General’s office from prosecuting the case due to Jenson’s earlier interactions with Swallow and Shurtleff.
