Salt Lake City Police Department release sketches of wanted robbers

SALT LAKE CITY – Salt Lake City Police Department said two suspects gained entrance to a jewelry store on Tuesday by impersonating police officers.

The suspects entered Jewelers Guild, 703 E 600 S., at about 11:05 a.m. and took an undisclosed amount of jewelry.

The suspects were described as having weapons and wearing light blue polo-type shirts with dark pants.

The SLCPD has released the following descriptions of the suspects.

Suspect #1

  • Male black adult
  • 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet 6 inches tall
  • Muscular build
  • 220 to 240 pounds
  • Hair in dreadlocks or ponytail, tucked under a ball cap

Suspect #2

  • Male white adult
  • 6 feet 2 inches tall
  • 200 to 220 pounds
  • possibly wearing a ball cap
